Some older homes may not have suitable incoming power to support a new large appliance. If this is the case then you will need a new mains power upgrade, which can include a new switchboard. It can be done but most people are not aware of the additional work that may be required.
I can provide you with advice around what would be suitable for the space. But I recommend that you choose the light fittings that you like best as everyone has their own personal preferences. I can provide downlights, switches, power points and sensors.
First thing to do is to locate your switchboard. Take note of any switches that are off as that will indicate that a fault has occurred. It is safe to try and switch it back on. If the power doesn't come back on it shows that there is a fault present and that you will need a qualified electrician to diagnose and locate the fault and rectify the problem.
